AUDA
(Uruguayan Craftsmen Association) is the most important corporative and
formal association of craftsmen in Uruguay since its foundation in 1983.
In
this year 2007 the association reaches its first 24 years of life.
From
that so distant and so near 1983, a lot of water has run under the bridge.
There
have been many efforts, sacrifices, dreams and concretions.
Discover

variety of techniques and materials, that goes straight from the craftsman
to your hands.

years of self management by the Uruguayan Craftsmen Association, support
our proposal. Through the two markets, the artisans can sell their
products that are conformed by diverse materials as being: leather, wool,
paper, metals, textile, pumpkin, wood, ceramic, graphics, glass, bone,
candles, and much more.

Market of the Abundance (San José 1312):
This
market is located in what was the old Market of the Abundance, today
considered national historical monument, only a block distance of the
Municipal Intendancy of Montevideo.
Besides
the Market of the Artisans that has conditioned air, you will be able to
enjoy a varied Square of Foods in the first floor and a Theater where
actors performed important plays of Uruguayan and foreign authors.
In
the Market of the Abundance you can find also the group of Joventango with
its school of Tango Dance, and its shows of music, singers and dancing
in the Square of Foods.

Market of the Cagancha’s Square (Pza. Cagancha 1365):
This
market is located in the Cagancha’s Square or
Freedom Square.
In
its superior floor, you will be able to enjoy their Cultural Center with
exhibitions and conferences of the most diverse arts. This Center also has
service of Coffee house.
The
two markets open from Monday to Saturdays from 10 A.M
to 9
P.M .
The
purchases can be pay cash or by a credit card.
