This jeweler's piece arises of the creator after long hours of observation.

The realization of this work pursues as objective, to reproduce with the biggest fidelity the morphology of this peculiar insect.

This jewel is conceived so that by itself it can be an environmental ornament, and also a pin or a hanging one.

The materials used for their realization are: silver(in a law of 930/1000); the mother-of-pearl conforming the wings; a garnet setting in the body; and two rubies that simulate the eyes.

The procedure of production gathers very old technicals, and a modern mechanical design.

It is of highlighting that this piece doesn't have any welding in its conformation.

The realization method has been based on the hammered of the silver until stretching it, and then the chiseling, enchased, engraving and modeling of each one of the 22 pieces that conform the jewel, those that previously were soaked starting from the drawing on the silver.

The mobility of the wings is allowed by 4 small levies that are subject to the wings by means of bolts, those that go screwed to the body of the dragonfly, by means of some small screws incorporated in the levies.

The structure that supports the legs is inserted to the body through 2 holes that guide them in its only position, through 2 bolts with thread, where the respective nuts assure them fit.

The nut corresponding to the head is also the support of the ring for the hanging one.

The other nut is the support of the needle.

The needle is sustained by a threaded bolt in its support and lastly the clasp of the needle is also coiled in its lodging.

To be able to made this piece, the author should built most of the used tools.
